As most PCP air rifle users, I like to keep my tanks topped up to 300 BARs (4500 psi). But after a while I always end up with a few airtanks with pressures of around 150 – 180 BARs. I asked if I could use the Altaros Booster to use this “leftover” air in certain tanks to increase pressure other tanks back to 300 BAR. Altaros did some expiriments and replied that with a simple rearrangement of some existing tubes and one extra tube, this could be done. The low pressure compressor is, in this constellation, only used to drive the Altaros Booster Unit. The air supplied comes from of a tank with medium pressure, externally regulated down to 80-90 BAR and inserted directly in the highpressure side of the Altaros Booster.
The efficiency is remarkable… Inevitable losses are only 10% to 15%!!! I was able to top up three smaller bottles back to 300 BARS, using the 190 BAR left in a large bottle. The pressure in this bottle is now lowered to 100 BARs, while all my other air reservoirs now back at 300 BARs.
The low pressure compressor does not need to be large and can even be relatively quiet.
I then rewired the Altaros Booster Unit to its original configuration and filled the large bottle back up from 100 to 300 BARs. This took a bit longer, given the fact that my low pressure compressor does not possesses a large capacity. But I got there in the end using the recommended 60/40 runtime of the LC.
Needless to say, I am extremely happy with the Altaros Booster Unit, the knowledge of the Altaros engineers, their superb service and can only highly recommend this product!

The entire process was simple and I was constantly notified of the events in getting my booster. Upon arrival, there were no issues with shipping at all, and was packed very well! As I mentioned, I have no previous experience with this and was actually resistant in making such a purchase because I did not want to spend time on maintenance. Well, issues from where I had my tanks filled finally caused me to seek you out.
I am so glad I did!!!! Not only can I fill up whenever I want, NEVER running out of air, I can actually fill to a higher pressure than the dive shop I used to frequent, making this even MORE efficient! I was unable to fill over 3500psi at the dive shop, so I could never really take advantage of using carbon fiber tanks however now I can. What is equally as impressive as your product is your customer service. I was unsure of operation, including attaching my existing “first stage” to my filling station with the compressor booster. Not only did you all walk me through the process step by step, you did this on a Saturday no less with so many communications from morning into the even the evening. I filled my own tanks and was using them the next day!
I just wanted to thank you for making both a great product and following that up with exceptional customer service. An five months later, I would like to report no issues and virtually a maintenance free system! Thank you!!!

I have been completely happy with it so far, I’ve used it around ten times to fill my 45 minute SCBA bottle and I’m getting a little over 1000 psi per hour with my setup.
I highly recommend the product, it’s an ingenious design and is maintenance free. Some people have complained about the cheap tool box that it is housed in but I find it to be very useful, the trays on the top are very convenient for storing small parts and it makes it easy to transport.
Thank you, Altaros for providing the air gun community with an affordable alternative to expensive HPA compressors.

Back in November last year, I was looking for an affordable way of filling my PCP airgun. I had grown tired of hand pumping and decided to keep my eyes out for a used SCBA bottle as second-hand 300 bar scuba tanks are as rare as rocking horse shit in this country. Anyhow, even having my own bottle, I would still need a way of filling it and there are no dive shops around here. Also, dive shops insist that the bottles are in test, which means you have to pay for an inspection every 12 months. Dive shops often will not fill while you wait, meaning you’ll have to make two trips.

Previously I had purchased a regulator from Altaros, and was very impressed by their professional and helpful service. I learned from their website that they were selling a booster pump that could fill a bottle to 300 bar so I did a bit of research and all the information that I could find was favorable. Anyway, I placed my order and a few days later it was on its way. Seven weeks later it finally arrived and I stress that it was the postal service’s fault for the delay and had nothing to do with Altaros. The first time I used it, it took over twelve hours to fill my seven litre bottle from empty to 300 bar. I was unsure if this was the correct amount of time so I emailed the guys to make sure. I was supplied with an equation and example for a compressor similar to mine and twelve hours was correct. A larger drive compressor would probably cut that in half! Now I only have to top it up from about 230 bar which is my guns max. and it takes about two hours. The auto stop works flawlessly. I believe after sales service to be second to none and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another product from them in the future.

Altaros note: Compressor was shipped On 22th. November . December and January are worst month for shipping because of Christmas holidays and millions of packages which are sent at the same time so postal offices are overwhelmed, then there are snow calamities which close air ports and disrupts the normal delivery path, etc, etc… Normal delivery time to Australie is around 2-4 weeks.

I use my Booster unit now for month to fill my 4 liter bottle from 220 to 300 bar. It works really great. I use it with an big comressor (670 liter pro minute) and so it works really fast! It needs for this job about 30 minutes! Great product and really nice people working there. Hope they keep on going this way!
I also use an altaros regulator in my Air Arms S510 Extra FAC and the regulator works fine! I tuned it a little bit fo my uses but the factory setting was really good.
I fully recommend buying altaros products.
